Who is FBC Membership for?

FBC Membership is for anyone who shares our conviction that Scripture is God’s very word—sufficient and authoritative for all of life and godliness. Whether you’re a pastor, church leader, aspiring counselor, or simply passionate about biblical counseling, membership connects you with a fellowship of believers who courageously uphold this biblical standard.

Membership is also the required first step for anyone pursuing certification as an FBC Biblical Counselor.

How do I become an FBC Member?

Getting started is simple:

1. Complete the FBC Member Application and submit it online
2. Wait for approval – FBC Support will review your application
3. Receive your login credentials via email with access to your payment portal
4. Pay the initial membership fee of $100 (first year only)

That’s it! You’ll have immediate access to member resources.

What does membership cost after the first year?

Annual renewal is just $50 per year—keeping biblical counseling training affordable and accessible.

What do I get as an FBC Member?

Membership unlocks valuable resources and opportunities:

• Quick, shareable hope resources – Brochures and materials to help others (accessible when logged in)
• Eligibility to apply for training at any of our 10 FBC Training Centers worldwide
• Access to the certification application when you’re ready to pursue counselor certification

Note: Individual Training Centers may have additional requirements or fees for their specific programs.

How do I access the certification application?

The FBC Biblical Counselor Certification Application is available exclusively to current FBC Members through the member login portal.

What are the requirements for certification?

Our certification process ensures theological integrity and practical competency. Full requirements, training hours, and coursework are detailed in the FBC Syllabus for Biblical Counselor Certification.

The process involves:

• Completion of required training through an FBC Training Center
• Observation of counseling sessions and case study work
• Personal relationship with your Training Center Director and pastor
• Final certification by your local church leadership

Who can apply to become a Training Center?

FBC Training Centers must operate under the authority and oversight of a local church. We take seriously our commitment to church-centered biblical counseling, so applications require:

• Approval from your overseeing local church (pastor and elders)
• Current FBC Certified Biblical Counselor status for the Training Center Director
• Commitment to quarterly reporting to an FBC board member

Applications without local church approval will not be accepted.

How do I access the Training Center application?

The Training Center application is available to FBC Certified Biblical Counselors through the member portal login.

Already certified through ACBC or IABC?

Welcome! As a growing fellowship, we’re offering one complimentary year of membership to biblical counselors currently certified through ACBC or IABC.
